Hi, I'm Alexander.
I'm European. I was born in Vienna, raised in Alicante, and I have Bulgarian roots.
As a kid, I loved machines and science. Engineering seemed to be my path, but upon entering Spanish Baccalaureate, I switched from Engineering to Biology. Here's why:
I believe that time's finitude is the biggest constraint of both curiosity and ambition. People take death for granted and don't give it a second thought, but that didn't sit right with me. Aging is a thing, sure, but if medicine has come so far, why can't it keep us young indefinitely?
At age 16, I promised to myself I would get to explore the fascinating world of engineering once I knew I'd actually have time for everything. "60 years isn't enough for that. You can't convince me otherwise. I want to know everything knowable."
I wrote that last part in quotes becaus it's an old thought. You can read more about it here: Philosophy →
Today I study Bioinformatics, and I'm interested in biological simulation, digital twins, and synthetic biology. If you're curious, let's have a chat. My contact is at the bottom of every page.
